I just got an email from today.com inviting me to "have an online presense" by signing up with BFY.com
I went over and checked out the site and for the bargain price of just $479.88 (who dreams up these wacko prices?) per year you can have:
Your own domain (ooooh!)
Your own website (aaaaaah!)
your own email address (eeeeeh!)
$25 in advertising credit (Awwwwwghhh!)
What a stupendous bargain for just $1.31 a day!!! NOT!
Jeez what frigging planet are these scamming bastards on?
Online presence my arse!
Who in their right minds would fork out so much money on something you can just as easily have by signing up with a good hosting company like Hostgator (plug, plug) for $8 a month and buying a domain off Godaddy for $10. You can sign up as a publisher for Bidvertiser and get $20 in advertising credits free which will probably reach more people that BFY.com could ever reach in a month of Sundays, and Bidvertiser are not exactly the greatest PPC online!
You want to promote a website for an "online presense" then sign up with linkedin, lookuppages etc for free.
My advice is don't look twice at this company - its even worse than SBI!
