Cutting and pasting on CNNSI dot com carries a link with it

Not sure if this is happening elsewhere, but I have noticed in recent days that if I copy and paste a section of text from Sports Illustrated dot com (which I often do, as I am a big sports fan and like to send excerpts of articles to friends in an email), there is a link to same story automatically inserted below the pasted text. This happens by virtue of selecting any portion of the story and copying it into an email. Seems like this will become a new trend in cyberspace, will it not?

Any thoughts?
