I don't know about you guys, but I'm seeing some pretty good Page Ranks on my blogs. Seems like big G has been generous.

Anyone wanna buy links?

I am happy I guess.. Not sure if I should be but my 3 month old blog is PR 1 now despite being sandboxed... My 2 month old blog that is getting over 600 hits a day didn't get any PR though.

Oh man, I would trade your 600 hits a day for my PR3 blog right away. Damn, seems like everyone have a nose to pick a keyword, except me.

Most of my sites took a hit this time around - not what I was expecting. The losses far outweighed the gains which were few. For some unknown reason my pligg site actually lost its solid PR2 despite my getting loads of backlinks for it. My Directory only managed to gain a PR1 and that I've also promoted hard.

The only gains I made were on one or two squid lenses and one solitary blogger blog.

Despite a lot of good, gradually accumulating links coming to this site, there is no gain in PR which also surprised me more than any other of my sites.

Beats me what Google are up to. Maybe its early days and things need to settle down a little still.

Newer sites with higher PR that are ranking higher too. Frustrating...

Oh well, time to find a new niche!

I've had a few sites gets PR3 or PR4 this time around but nothing moving beyond that. I don't know who you have to kill to get beyond PR4 these days but it seems tough. Even Griz and Vic with their massive link building expertise haven't gone beyond PR4. Court has a PR5 but that is with over 100K links!

I noticed that John Chow got demoted to PR3 though.

Only problem with my 600 hit blog is adsense on it only pays me between $0.05 and $0.33 per click which averages out to only about $0.20 per click. This means it is only making me a couple bucks a day.

When I made the blog somehow I got confused and thought it was gonna pay $0.50 to $1.00 per click.

My main blog about everything got 0 again, coming from 3. I suppose I'm getting a new penalty for selling links. However, the traffic and the earnings are stable. The only disadvantage is that now I cannot give PR links to my other sites from there.

Good news for Amazon affiliate stores: two of them got PR. However, I haven't noticed any increase in rankings and traffic so far.

The high PR, pre-owned domains I've bought for using with Pay Per Post were brought to 0 (not before I had the chance to make about $300 out of each site ). I was expecting this, as they had no links to sustain the toolbar PR, but they served the purpose I bought them for. I get new ones after each PR update and enjoy writing for PPP.

My web directories gained PR or maintained their actual one. Overall, I can say I'm happy.

I picked up several pr1 1- pr2 one went from pr2-pr3 and another went from 3 down to 2 so looks like i definatley have some work to do on backlinks.

I haven't checked all of mine but does it really matter? Really?
My two main money making sites have really jumped up in earnings and visits but not PR (still 3) . Not sure what my PR5 site is but I assume it will be down as I have ignored it a bit. Even a squidoo is PR3!

I don't understand PR because , like I just mentioned, I have a PR5 site that is just a personal blog, that I have never gone and really tried to get links for (except for the PR3 squidoo but thats just the last few months) and someone says Griz is PR3???
I guess I should be doing something productive with the site!

I have a hub which was published 11 June - now a PR3 - I havent built any backlinks for it - AFAIK its got zero! BTW does anyone know how to check backlinks on sites such as hubpages which dont work with SEOelite (which will only return the page over the whlole domain that has the kw requested) Every hub I have which is older than the 11 Jun now have a 2 or 3 PR regardless of traffic or links - so long as they have at least 500 odd words

That's strange, I have four hubs published in May all well over 500 words and all PR0! Maybe Google just doesn't like me!

I think some of my sites have lost PR because a lot of their links are coming from squidoo/blogger. That says that links from those two sources may have less juice than before - at least as far as Page Rank is concerned.

However, the same sites have not lost their perches on Google's Page 1 or 2 where they've sat for a long time, so maybe the juice from those sources is still ok for SERPs authority, as long as it is properly anchored for the keyword.

That gives me more motivation to keep building the site up... How many unique hits are you getting from your 2 sites combined in order to average $900 a month off of $.05 clicks...

Looks like OpTempo got demoted too, down from PR4 to PR3.

I can speculate as to the reason for this but my most likely guess is simply a lack of higher quality links.

On the bright side, several blogs are now PR4 or PR3.

I have some niche blogs who only had links from BMD scuttle runs that hit PR2 and one even PR3. Just more Google randomness I suppose.

I've had a mixed bag. The sites that I'm actively working on all have managed to increase or maintain their PR. The ones that are on the back burner have all lost PR especially the ones from freshdrop No surprises there.

This is an example of how skewed the Page Rank system is. I bought an 11 year old expired domain in mid May this year with a PR0. I checked it in SEO Elite and it showed zero backlinks. I only bought it because I liked the name (good niche) and earmarked it for development at a later date. I did nothing else with it and pretty much forgot about it. until just over a week ago when I found a use for it - so that it wouldn't sit in limbo, I slapped up a WP blog and posted a welcome post. That it. No backlinks nada. I just looked at it again because now I'm ready to start developing it.

Its a PR3!

I have just had my alternative cure site that has been a PR3 for almost a year now dropped to a PR2. It is over a year old, has hundreds of links and a ton of original, niche relevant content!

Yet this other worthless piece of junk gets a PR3 straight off the bat! Crazy!

The odd thing is, one of my posts on a non-money site went viral not too long ago and hit a PR3. Then with this update its down to a 2, despite having hundreds of organic links coming back to it...
