Tool to Check Search Engine Rankings?

does anybody know of a good free tool to check your google search rankings.. I'm talking one that goes 500-1000 deep.

I usually use http://www.seoserp.com/web_tools/google ... hecker.asp but it has been down for over 2 weeks now.

I've just found these two sites mentioned on the Affiliates 4 U forum - I haven't checked them though so can't say if they're any good.

The 2nd tool, the one from ventio is simply amazing.

You enter one website and then as many keywords as you like each seperated by a comma. It then checks all of them at once. It is very accurate and pretty quick. You can check as deep at the top 1000.

I just tried it and only one of my sites out of nine showed a ranking. I know that most of them are there because I just saw them. My flagship blog is on page four and showed no results. I must be doing something wrong. benll

It was working for me yesterday but is not working correctly today.

As a last resort, what I sometimes do is head for Google, change the Preferences section to show 100 results per page, then search for the keywords. I then do a manual find in my browser for my blog's url.

If my blog is there, I check the url of the cached version, since that url contains the number of my blog's ranking.

Granted, it's more time consuming. But again, I use it in the event other tools aren't working.

I use the SEO book rank checker that nicola mentioned. It works pretty well but limits to the first 200 results, which isn't too big of a problem since I don't think very many queries go too far past 500 results.
