Ever Experience A Sudden & Sustained Drop In Traffic

I am not talking about getting put in the Sandbox but rather having your traffice suddenly be reduced without any glaring reason...

I was getting about 700-800 unique hits a day (and as much as 950) on a blog that has been around for about 3 months but over the past 10 days the traffic numbers have dropped to around 400-500 unique hits per day.

I am rather new to the blogging and making money online thing so I was wondering if anyone else has had any experiences like this.

Yeah I have a blog which is bouncing around between zero and 20 search engine traffic depending on whether google likes it or not hat day - usually rotates on week in favour 1 week not

I've had two blogs go from 200+ a day to 10.

I have another blog that will get about 800 uniques a day Monday through Friday and only 100 or so on the weekend.

The drop in one of the first is probably due to the blanket .info penalty that Google started applying. The second, I'm not sure about but it may be due to lack of new content and links.

does this look normal or our they slowly moving me toward the sandbox or what?? I was getting the traffic show with less than 50 crappy links and over the past 2 weeks as I have slowly been gathering a few more links that are actually of quality and the only result has been a drop in traffic...

Do you all notice random things happening? I started getting 600+ unique visits for awhile (and up to 950) and then it just started dropping to the point where it is low 500s or 400s and just yestarday is was only 383 uniques. Also the amount I was getting per adsense click dropped from the high teens to around $0.10-$0.11 right around the time that my traffic starting lowering and it has stayed like that...

If this is a new site, then it's normal that you get less traffic because G pushes you down. Considering the CPC, it happens and I don't think it's permanent.

The site is about 3 months old... So after you climb in the SERPS google will kinda push a new site down until it has been around for awhile?

Could it have something to do with the fact that my post frequency has dropped from about 4-5 times a weeks to just about once a week now?

Hm, the site is not new, so its not sandbox. Posting frequency shouldn't matter. I really can't say. But I did have a site that Google pushed down after it already exited sandbox. Why that happened, I still don't know.

I had one site like that. Big rankings for 3 1/2 months. After that the traffic dropped almost 90, and after 1 year that didn't change. I gave up on the site.

Should I be worried about my trend over the past 4 weeks??? I know I asked this already but it is continuing... My traffic has slowly continued to drop.. Anyone else experience this with a site that is just a couple months old and quickly rises in the SERPs?

My traffic is just slowly going down each week despite doing the same post frequency and link gathering techniques.

Is the site seasonal? I have a site which climbs up for the first part of the year and then starts declining. The first year it happened I started to panic but when the same pattern repeated itself the following year I understood it was a seasonal thing.

No, its no seasonal... But it is a short term 6-10 month money maker. I was late getting in though so its not that I'm slipping because there have been a bunch of new websites made recently.

I need to look for a different market. I am not getting anywhere near the traffic you folks are getting. I'd be absolutely excited to get the traffic some of you are getting. I get around 20 a day, on a good day. I am not ranked high yet for the main term I'm targeting, but still.

Its all about luck honestly, I was targeting one thing and happen to have a few words in my website title and subtitle and I started getting hits for those words despite not writing about them at all. This caused me to completely transition the direction of my website.
