I found the following website and saw that it went from a PR0 to PR6 and decided to check a few backlink checkers to see what links it got. All the backlink checkers I used say it has 0 backlinks yet somehow it is PR6...
Any explanations?
Update: Almost forgot, the website is http:// tvconverterboxstore.com/servlet/StoreFront

The PR update is still on-going and will settle down in a day or two. Maybe its just a fluke reading!

It is showing 27 backlinks for me. It has a NICE link from a .gov site.
It has a solid related contextual PR 5 link from:
seattle.gov/cable/digital.htm
and another PR 5 here
dtvdeadline.org/dtv-converters-online-retailers/
And since they're contextual and highly related, they pass a lot of juice that footer/blogroll/comment links.
And there are prob several more links that just aren't showing yet.

Ok, thanks for checking. I just checked with a couple of the free backlink checkers on the internet, I guess they aren't accurate.
Anyone want to suggest a good free backlink checker tool?

The only accurate one I know of is Google Webmaster tools but it is only good for your own sites.
Otherwise you need to buy SEO Elite - it is the god of all backlink tools - I use it extensively and I reckon that's where Justin got that info for you.
